Summary

Following completion of our major Circum Arctic study (CAP) this website not only allows licensees of the study immediate worldwide access to the entire product but also provides for all companies (regardless of whether they have licensed the study) access to new Arctic technical information and data. Up to date information on petroleum related activity and new technical, political and economic issues and news within the Arctic is available on a regular basis.

Subscribers to the ice-cap website gain access each year to new product.

For subscribers to the ICE-CAP website in 2009 the New Technical Content will include:-

  • A review of the technical content behind the recent USGS Arctic report on "yet to find reserves" to be followed by
  • a review of Law of the Sea "Continental Shelf" Submissions. (These had been due by 13 May 2009 but now on this date only "preliminary information indicative...of the continental shelf.....and intended date of making a submission .." has to be submitted).
The 2008 Technical update was a new look at the Petroleum Systems in the Barents Sea, using the basic data available on the NPD website. This updated and expanded the work originally produced within the Circum Arctic Report. The study carried out by IGI (Integrated Geochemical Interpretation Ltd), challenges some of the accepted wisdom in the area.
