Summary
AREA:
This atlas covers the Atlantic Margin, including the Faeroes, Rockall and the West of Shetlands through Irish waters down to the Southern Approaches in the UK. It extends as far east as the Irish Sea and Morecambe Bay area.
CONTENT:
The study provides a structural framework utilising satellite gravity data. ARK Geophysics, who work in close association with Exploration Geosciences, have provided the potential field work which complements seismic and well data. The stratigraphy, reservoir and source rocks from wells and outcrops were studied in order to review, compare and contrast the hydrocarbon potential of the various basins.
