This atlas covers the Porcupine Basin and immediately surrounding area, offshore Ireland.
CONTENT:
The study provides an integrated structural framework based upon digital marine gravity and aeromagnetic data combined with regional seismic. The tectonic evolution and regional stratigraphy are reviewed, the basin and sub-basin configuration are defined, the nature and extent of the volcanics are determined and the basement related features are delineated. The results are placed in a petroleum geological context with reference to their significance to evaluating the hydrocarbon potential of the basin.
